WITCHKIDS......19-YEAR OLD PROSCOVIA OROMALT, ELECTED MP IN UGANDA!"

I am bursting with excitement over the thought of blogging again! I feel so sad I had left my source of happiness for long. Well, it was for good. I just came back after spending like six months abroad United States of America to be precise. I hope you are not laughing at me? If you doubt it, you better explain why I have not been bloging as I used to. As if there are no internet services to do my blogging from there.(I just laughed at myself here) I am just hoping you did not see what I just wrote. Lol. Any way, you can think anything after all; you are entitled to your opinion. That is by the way.

I just came back so tired and needed a rest but the noise that was coming from Thelma’s room could not let me rest. I hope you still remembered Thelma? She is one of my flat mates. These girls are so mean! They never considered the fact that I told them I had a long session throughout yesterday’s night in the studio with Beyonce and had not actually had a nap! What? You are laughing? You think it’s not possible I know Beyonce that much abi? Dey there. Lol.

I wondered why adults like them would want to pull our roof down. Have they changed their decorum within these few months that I was away? I could not take it anymore! I needed to rest and definitely not under this kind of noisy environment! I managed with my heavy weak eyes and strutted to Thelma’s room. I got there and met what I was not expecting. I was very wrong to have thought and concluded that my friends were generating the noise. Joyce, Jewel and Tracy are sleeping quietly in their rooms but Thelma has her two younger sisters with her. They actually came to spend some time with her. I had not taking note of them when I arrived because I was so tired and had headed straight to my room while my girls have rallied around me for the latest gist from US( I coughed) and to collect their gifts.

I met Thelma’s younger sisters knelling down on the floor sobbing and lamenting. Thelma had a cane which she was pointing at them like an instructional material. I found out that she had used it on them and I wondered the kind of crime they have committed. I looked at Thelma and she was fuming with anger. I have never seen her in such a mood before. Thelma had always been a nice, kind and gentle person. She hardly like dragging issues with someone. She can drop it half way even if she is the one being subjected, just to allow peace triumph. Unlike me who can take it to any level you want it until justice is seen to be obtained and done. I am not a troublesome person o. Its just in case one tries to join issues with me on a subject matter I honestly know I am blameless.

"what is going on here, Thelma" I asked as I dramatically sat by her side and collected the cane from her.
She hissed and sighed at her sisters. "These girls really got on my nerves" She replied.

"what did they do? You know I had to calm myself down from getting angry over the noise you guys were generating which has disturbed my nap because I have never seen you hurt a fly before and whatever had kept you in this mood must be something serious."

She hissed again. " Can you imagine Venn, I enrolled these stupid girls into a leadership training institute for their holidays, only to be so disappointed that they never attended the programme at all! Not even a day, Venn!"

I felt her annoyance immediately. She is so right to act the way she has acted. I raised my head and looked at the girls and they removed their eyes when mine met with theirs.

"It was so unfair of you girls to have behave in such a manner" I cautioned the girls. One of them was very fast to respond.

" She forced us into the institute. We had pleaded with her that we do not want to be part of the programme but she had insisted and registered us.So we decided to do it our own way"
"Will you shut your mouth this minute before I shut it for you" Retorted Thelma.

" Calm down Thelma" I told her.  "These girls are still so tender to understand the future you want to carve out for them. You don't impose such thing on them. it's a gradual process"

One of the girls got up in a quickly, ran to the table, picked a news paper, dropped it on my lap and knelt where she was knelling before. I could not control myself over the mechanical way in which she had done all that in a swift second. I had to let out a laugh in the mist all the serious atmosphere.

When I was done with my laughter, I picked the paper and looked at it. I could not decipher her reason for giving me the paper. I glanced at Thelma who threw her face away.

"What am I suppose to do with the paper?" I asked the girl who brought the paper.

"Aunty" She said." go to the page 5 of that paper and see why Sister is punishing us"

I got to the page 5 of that paper and saw it! The paper captioned it "19-YEAR OLD PROSCOVIA OROMALT, ELECTED MP IN UGANDA!"

I could not really digest what I read immediately and had to read it the second time just to make sure I got what I read before. I still saw that 19-year old so, my eyes were not deceiving me after all. I took in a deep breath and wondered the kind of Kid who would win an election to such a political position. I wondered also the kind of features and brain she's got to be able to match the fits of other contestant who probably were her father's age mates and yet was able to defeat them. I also saw another report that she is not the world's first teenage Parliament member. SWEDEN HAD ELECTED AN 18-YEAR-OLD IN 2010, WHILE CANADA ELECTED A 19-YEAR-OLD IN 2011. I looked at Prosvocovia's  picture and saw that she is just like any other regular human being. she  does not possess four ears nor a third eyes. She is just like me and you and no wonder Thelma was so angry with her sisters. She had wished they were like this 19-year-old genius who had made a record of being the first youngest teenage politician in Africa! Poor Thelma! These are simply exceptional children. I think I have to call them WITCHKIDS!

"Are you not gonna say anything venn" Thelma said and brought me back from my euphoria of thoughts.

"I am so carried away by her achievement at this tender age. The girl is just too much!"
"She is just my sisters age mates and this girls failed to appreciate the fact that I was trying to help them shape their future by enrolling them into that leadership training institute. All they could pay me with was to abandon their classes without my knowledge.I only had to find out when they had nothing to show for it on the graduation day"

" Too bad" I commented and shook my head.  "But Thelma, your sisters must not be politicians to make a mark in life. We all have different callings and purposes in life. All you need to do is to sit them down and find out what they are so passionate about. When you find that out, help them to spend more time and energy doing that and you will be so impressed by their performances."

Thelma nodded in affirmative." I think you are right, Venn. One must not be a politician in order to excel in life. I thought I was doing a good thing." She got up and embraced her sisters.
" I am so sorry sweethearts" She apologies to them and they nodded in agreement.

I got up and stretched my self." I hope you guys can allow me to take some nap now?"

I stare inquisitively on them and Thelma's sisters giggled.
"Thank you so much Auntie" They said homogeneously.
"Tomorrow is Sunday so, you have all the time in the world to have rest" Thelma said smiling.
"Is that how to apologies for stealing some of my time?''
" I am so sorry Venn. Don't worry I am gonna buy you lunch tomorrow to make up."
"Promise?"
"I promise."
"Okay then. I am hoping on you to give me a good treat tomorrow. I have really missed a lot."
"Be my guest tomorrow then"
"I can't wait. Before I go to my room, can I borrow this paper and read. I want to catch up with everything I have missed."
"You can keep it till you are done"
"Thanks"
"Welcome and good night"
"Night night girls"
"Night" They echoed. I left. I got to my room and ran into the open arms of my bed. I meditated on all the things I must have missed since I was away to United States. Na you sabi. I truly have missed my blogging. I needed to sleep and wake up for church in the morning. And for the lunch.........I can't miss it. I will tell you how it happened.....I slept off.
